Agreement to Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Jagriti Yatra website and participation in the Jagriti Yatra program, operated by Jagriti Sewa Sansthan, a registered non-profit organization in India. By registering, applying, or participating in Jagriti Yatra, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
Eligibility
To participate in Jagriti Yatra, you must:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Be a citizen of India or have valid authorization to travel within India
- Complete the application process truthfully and accurately
- Meet the selection criteria established by Jagriti Yatra
- Be physically and mentally fit to undertake a 15-day train journey
- Agree to abide by all program rules and guidelines
Registration and Application
Application Process: Submitting an application does not guarantee selection. The selection committee evaluates applications based on merit, motivation, diversity, and program objectives.
Accurate Information: You must provide truthful, accurate, and complete information during registration. False or misleading information may result in application rejection or program dismissal without refund.
Selection Notification: Selected participants will be notified via email and phone. Acceptance must be confirmed within the specified timeframe to secure your seat.
Payment Terms
Program Fee: The participation fee covers train travel, accommodation on the train, select meals, program materials, entry fees to enterprises, and logistical support. The fee does not cover personal expenses, travel to/from the starting point, additional meals, or optional activities.
Payment Schedule: Payment must be made as per the schedule provided upon selection. Failure to pay by the deadline may result in cancellation of your participation.
Currency: All fees are in Indian Rupees (INR) unless otherwise specified.

Code of Conduct
As a Jagriti Yatra participant (Yatri), you agree to:
- Respect fellow Yatris, organizers, role models, and host communities
- Follow all instructions from Jagriti Yatra coordinators and railway authorities
- Maintain punctuality for all scheduled activities and train departures
- Refrain from consumption of alcohol, tobacco, or illegal substances during the journey
- Dress appropriately and maintain professional decorum during enterprise visits
- Not engage in any form of harassment, discrimination, or misconduct
- Take responsibility for personal belongings and safety
- Participate actively and constructively in all program activities
- Respect the confidentiality of sensitive discussions and business information shared
Violation of the Code of Conduct may result in immediate dismissal from the program without refund.
Travel and Accommodation
Train Journey: Jagriti Yatra is conducted entirely on a chartered train. Participants must remain with the train throughout the journey except during scheduled enterprise visits and activities.
Accommodation: Sleeping berths are provided on the train. Accommodation type (AC 2-tier, AC 3-tier, or Sleeper) depends on the tier of registration selected.
Railway Compliance: Participants must comply with all Indian Railways regulations and rules. Jagriti Yatra is not responsible for changes in railway schedules, delays, or cancellations due to circumstances beyond our control.
Health and Safety
Medical Fitness: You are responsible for ensuring you are medically fit to participate. Disclose any health conditions, allergies, or dietary restrictions during registration.
Medical Emergencies: While basic medical support is available, participants are responsible for their own health insurance and medical expenses.
Travel Insurance: We strongly recommend obtaining comprehensive travel and health insurance for the duration of the program.
Intellectual Property
All content on the Jagriti Yatra website, including text, graphics, logos, images, videos, and program materials, is the property of Jagriti Sewa Sansthan and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without written permission.
Media Release and Consent
By participating in Jagriti Yatra, you grant Jagriti Sewa Sansthan the irrevocable right to use photographs, videos, audio recordings, testimonials, and written content featuring you for promotional, educational, and fundraising purposes across all media platforms. This includes but is not limited to websites, social media, brochures, impact reports, and presentations.
Limitation of Liability
Jagriti Sewa Sansthan and its directors, employees, volunteers, and partners shall not be liable for:
- Personal injury, illness, or loss of property during the program
- Changes, delays, or cancellations due to railway schedules, natural disasters, pandemics, or government restrictions
- Actions or negligence of third parties, including enterprises visited or transportation providers
- Loss of opportunity, income, or business resulting from participation or inability to participate
Participants assume all risks associated with travel and participation in the program.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Jagriti Sewa Sansthan, its directors, employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your participation in Jagriti Yatra, breach of these Terms, or violation of any laws.
Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your participation in Jagriti Yatra shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India.
Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued participation after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
